BAND BIO KOJO REGGAE (KOJO) was formed to create a blend of CARIBBEAN music featuring Calypso, Soca, Reggae, Ska, Dancehall, French Cadass, Cajun, La Comet, Cadance, Latin, Pop, R n B, and Rock.
The members are from the islands of St. Lucia, Jamaica, and the United States. KOJO has been nominated multiple times over the years for it’s sound and commitment to authentic world music by the WAMI Board (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) for best Reggae and Ska band and was given the BEST CARRIBEAN GROUP award by the world famous WILD HARE Entertainment club based in Chicago, Illinois. KOJO Reggae has performed in major night clubs and festivals throughout the midwestern United States including Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Michigan, and Missouri. Festivals included the world famous Milwaukee Summerfest, Bastile Days , Cajunfest and Chicago Waterfront Music event.
KOJO has also opened for world famous artists such as Jimmy Cliff, Third World, Yellow Man, Carlene Davis, Ziggy Marley, The Wailers, Judy Mowatt, Buckwheat and the Neville Brothers.
